Adrienne Stonecypher
Ms. Stonecypher represents individuals and businesses in both state and federal courts on a wide array of matters. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Stonecypher amassed an expansive variety of legal experience in a variety of practice areas. Ms. Stonecypher’s experience, along with both a J.D. and Master’s in Public Affairs, has resulted in a broad base of legal knowledge encompassing both litigation and transactional work, spanning policy implementation to courtroom practice.
Notable Matters/Representative Experience
Served as lead defense counsel in a multimillion-dollar premises liability lawsuit with catastrophic injury, securing a full defense verdict for a corporate client.
Successfully argued numerous state and federal court motions for summary judgment and motions to dismiss for multiple corporate clients on issues such as lack of employer/employee relationship, lack of evidence of legal causation, lack of notice of alleged dangerous conditions, and statute of limitations.
Drafted an appellate brief in the First Court of Appeals – Houston, Texas in response to an appeal from a successful Rule 91a Motion to Dismiss.
Worked to secure over $600 million in municipal bond funding for public schools throughout Texas over the course of nearly 30 transactions.
Achieved numerous efficient settlements with highly favorable terms through strategic litigation practice and leverage.
