Snell Law achieved a significant win for its client in the Third Court of Appeals. The appellate court affirmed the trial court’s decision in a business partnership dispute in favor of the firm’s client.
Suit was filed against Snell Law’s client, as well as against the Texas Secretary of State, seeking to address certain corporate/partnership filings.
At its heart, this fifteen-year-plus dispute tackles the issue of who has rightful control over a certain entity. Plaintiffs/Appellants appealed the trial court’s decision denying Plaintiffs’/Appellants’ application for temporary injunction which effectively preserved the status quo of the parties much to Plaintiffs/Appellants dissatisfaction.
Snell successfully argued before the Court of Appeals that the trial court’s denial of Plaintiffs’/Appellants’ request for injunctive relief properly upheld the status quo, Plaintiffs/Appellants failed to establish a cause of action or probable right to relief, and Plaintiffs/Appellants failed to establish a probable, imminent, and irreparable injury in the interim.
