W. Lance Cawthon
Lance has devoted his legal career to representing clients in civil litigation. His practice presently focuses on business and consumer disputes but also encompasses employment and governmental matters.
Lance’s clients have included state and local governmental entities, health care institutions and professionals, law enforcement officials, and businesses in a wide variety of industries. Over the years, he has represented those clients in matters ranging from personal injury, professional liability, and civil rights lawsuits to employment and commercial disputes.
Lance has litigated and tried cases in each corner of Texas. He has experience in federal and state courts at the trial and appellate levels.

Achieved efficient pre-suit resolution of multiple disputes between consumers and businesses
Secured numerous pre-trial dismissals and summary judgments in defense of school districts, public hospitals, and public servants
Obtained favorable settlement for public employer in suit to recover embezzled funds from employee retirement plan
Tried over 20 lawsuits with no adverse verdicts
Won award for client’s full damages and attorney’s fees in arbitration of contractual dispute
Obtained reversals and secured affirmances for multiple clients in appellate proceedings
