Texas Tech University School of Law won first place in the 2016 State Moot Court Competition at the Texas Young Lawyers Association. This is Texas Tech’s fifth championship since 1975. The event took place during the State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting in Fort Worth in June.
Participating law schools also included Baylor Law School, Southern Methodist University School of Law, St. Mary’s University School of Law, Houston College of Law, Texas A&M University School of Law, and the University of Houston Law Center.
Texas Tech’s moot court team recently received the top national ranking from the University of Houston Law Center’s Blakely Advocacy Institute. This win marks the sixth Texas Young Lawyers Association title for Texas Tech Law. Click here to read an in depth write up of the event from Texas Tech Law.
